Bison Safety Foil is used primarily as an air and vapor barrier in joists where anti-trampling protection is required.
Properties
More information
The safety foil is also used in cases where a conventional air and vapor barrier is not robust and durable enough.
Material
Bison Safety Foil is a combined air & vapor barrier and anti-trampling protection. The safety foil consists of reinforced ageing-resistant HD polyethylene laminated with LD polyethylene on both sides. The fabric is UV and alkali stabilized. IQD 128 means the product is third-party audited, ensuring quality over time.
Product description
The safety foil is approved as an air and vapor barrier while also meeting the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s requirements for anti-trampling protection in ceilings and floors. The safety foil should be installed on the warm side of the insulation. Seals and joints must be covered with Bison Flex Tape Pro (which is a P-marked construction foil tape).
Function
Bison Safety Foil is primarily used as an air & vapor barrier in joists where anti-trampling protection is required. The safety foil is also used on occasions when a conventional air & vapor barrier is not robust and durable enough. In addition to its purpose as a safety foil, the product can be used as a water-repellent roofing underlay (diffusion tight roofing underlay). The product is sometimes also called combination foil.
Storage
Bison Safety Foil is stored in unbroken packaging or so that it is not exposed to moisture, heat or UV light.
