Applications
The butyl tape has very good resistance to UV light, chemicals, mold and changing temperatures. It has good ageing resistance and is used, for example, as a splicing aid for polyethylene building foil (air and vapor barrier). The butyl tape is also excellently suited for housewraps, open to diffusion roofing underlays, vapor control layers, etc. The butyl tape retain flexibility throughout its lifetime.

Storage
Bison Butyl Tape should be stored at + 5° – + 25° C for best adhesion. The butyl tape should be stored in unbroken packaging and not exposed to moisture, UV light and heat. The butyl tape works well against cold surfaces in low temperatures as long as it is stored as recommended before use.
